DAY 1: CHILL OUT

Venture on your own or get a guide to help you catch the best and the biggest

Fly fish the Fall River. Located only a short 15 min. drive from Sunriver, the Fall River is a favorite and is only open to fly fishing year-round.
Rent a boat on the Wickiup Reservoir to do more fishing, or just sit back and enjoy the scenery and sunshine. |
DAY 3: TEE OFF

DAY 4: PEDAL POWER
See the sights of Sunriver and the neighboring Deschutes Forest by bike. |
Bike all 31 miles of bike trails throughout Sunriver. Rest and refuel with lunch at Café Sintra.

Get off the paved roads with a trek to Benham and Dillon Falls—an easy 3.5 mile ride from Sunriver on Road 600, or take the new trail for a more challenging and difficult route. Pack a picnic lunch yourself, or pick up a convenient and delicious box lunch from Blondie’s Pizza

Take the Paulina Plunge – combine a downhill mountain bike trek for 1.5 miles with stops along the river trail to reveal spectacular waterfalls & natural water slides perfect for dips, jumps and sliding. Safe for the entire family from 4-70 years of age.
Advanced peddlers will find the Edison Ice Cave Trail a bit of a challenge. 10 miles of moderate terrain starts at the Edison Ice Cave snowpark and ends at Mt. Bachelor

DAY 5: TAKE A HIKE
Hiking is one of the most popular activities to enjoy while vi sting the Bend, Oregon, area, and you don't have to go far. |
Easy and difficult hikes exist throughout the millions of National Forest acres right outside Sunriver and Bend.

Cascade Lakes Highway - Drive the massive 100 mile loop and stop to hike one of the thousands of trails which lead you to hidden waterfalls and lakes.
Tumalo Falls Hike- who doesn't’t love seeing a big waterfall. This easy hike is ideal for families with small children. plus tons of other trails to explore
Newberry Crater Obsidian Trail - Walk among one of the largest obsidian flows in the world formed over 1300 years ago.
Paulina Creek - over 20 waterfalls along the Ogden National Recreation Trail. Drive to the Paulina Falls view point on your way out of the park.
Green Lakes Trail – Off the Cascade Lakes Hwy, this trail starts from sparks lake meadow and takes you

DAY 6: YOU ROCK
Whether you like to climb them or collect them, Central Oregon offers rock lovers a thrill. |
Smith Rock State Park is the big daddy of climbing spots! From climbing adventures--which offer over 1,400 bolted climbing routes for beginners to professionals--to hikes that can be as easy or difficult as you desire. And, the views from the Monkey Face trail are well worth being out of breath for. Take a break with a picnic lunch on the grassy lawn—the view is incredible—and leave plenty of room for homemade huckleberry icecream from the store on the way out of the park

Rock hounds can sniff out a wide variety of rocks in Crook County - known as the rock hound capital of the world. Free public access is available at most locations where you can find jasper, agate, obsidian, dendrite, thunder eggs, petrified wood and more. Lava River Caves, located off Highway 97, just north of Sunriver a few miles, is one of Oregon’s longest lava tubes at 2.4 miles round-trip. Open from mid-May through mid-September. |
DAY 7: THE ART OF SHOPPING
Spend a day a day in bliss by meandering into hundreds of fine art galleries, museums and, best of all, shops! |

Visit Signature Imports for clothing, jewelry, furniture, home decor, toys and more from all over the world hand made by artisans in such countries and continents as Asia, Africa, Mexico, India, Indonesia, etc. None of their items are mass produced or made in sweat shops and factories. Downtown Bend – stroll along Bond and Wall Streets for shops and galleries galore. Don’t miss the First Friday Artwalks. Sip and stroll on every first Friday of the month when the downtown galleries open their doors late to provide wine and light refreshments to all art-loving guests.
Visit the High Desert Museum and get face-to-face with a bobcat, golden eagle, or an otter. Take a stroll through life-size dioramas of the 1800s settlement of the West & more. **Sunset Perks

DAY 8: MAKE A SPLASH
Start your day in water and end it dining on the water! |
Put in your canoe, kayak, raft or inner tubes at Harper’s Bridge in Sunriver and float to the Sunriver Marina. The trip is about 3 miles. If you would like to spend an entire day on the river, float all the way to the pull out before Benham/Dillon Falls

Cool off with a rafting trip by Sun Country Tours, or get wet at the end of a downhill bike ride with the Paulina Plunge!
Don’t have your own boat or raft? Central Oregon Adventures offers flat water float trips on canoes and kayaks with with drop off & pick up service. Lunch on the river with boxed lunches prepared by a Sunriver deli and ordered for you by Central Oregon Adventures **Sunset Perks
Paddle your canoe on a high mountain lake during the day or when there is a full moon. Wanderlust Tours offers canoe tours during the spring, summer and fall months. An eco-guide will show you the hidden spots and wildlife on some of the most spectacular and unique Cascade Lakes--don't forget to bring your swimsuit for a refreshing dip! **Sunset Perks
Raft the wild rapids of the Deschutes River with Sun Country Tours. The Big Eddy Thriller is a short 3 mile trip on the river with fun guides and class 2 & 3 rapids. Longer trips are available on the lower Deschutes and the McKenzie rivers
Stay cool with a waverunner rental from Central Oregon Adventures. Many of the High Cascade Lakes, like Cultus, and area reservoirs are roomy enough for zooming around on the water. **Sunset Perks
Sail or paddle around on one of the high lakes in a sail boat or kayak. There are over hundreds of lakes that can only be truly explored on the water.
